Snap In Dentures

Implant-supported overdentures — they snap on, they stay on.

Snap-in dentures combine the affordability of a removable denture with the stability of dental implants. Two to four titanium implants are placed (usually in the lower arch where conventional dentures slip most), and the denture clicks onto attachment locators on top of them.

The result: rock-solid biting and chewing during the day, easy clipping off for thorough cleaning at night. Most patients say it feels closer to natural teeth than they expected — even when comparing to expensive All-on-4.

Process: implant placement (60–90 min), 3–6 months of healing at home, denture made and snap attachments fitted (1–2 visits over 7 days). Per-arch pricing: $3,995 with 2 implants · $5,995 with 4 implants. US average: $12,000–$18,000.

Materials

2–4 Straumann or Nobel implants. Locator attachments (the snap mechanism). Standard acrylic denture with metal-reinforced socket area for the snap inserts.

Frequently asked questions

Snap-in vs All-on-4?

Snap-in is removable (you take it off at night to clean). All-on-4 is fixed (only the dentist removes it). Snap-in is half the cost. All-on-4 feels closer to real teeth.

How long does the snap mechanism last?

The locator inserts wear out after 12–24 months and need replacement (~$30 per insert per visit). The implants and denture itself last much longer.

Can I sleep with them in?

Possible but we recommend removing at night to let your gums rest and to clean thoroughly.

How long is the surgery?

60–90 min for 2 implants, 90–120 min for 4. Local anesthesia, mild soreness afterward.

Warranty?

Lifetime on implants, 1 year on denture, 6 months on locator inserts.
