Simple and surgical extractions — gentle technique, sutures included.
Sometimes a tooth must come out — severe decay, advanced gum disease, fracture below the gum line, or wisdom teeth causing crowding. We use atraumatic extraction technique that preserves bone and gum for future implants when possible.
Simple extraction (visible, mobile tooth): 15–30 minutes under local anesthesia. Surgical extraction (impacted, broken at gum line, wisdom tooth): 30–60 minutes, sometimes with sedation. Both include immediate sutures, post-op instructions, and a written follow-up plan.
Per-tooth pricing: $50 simple extraction · $95 surgical extraction · $150 impacted wisdom tooth · $295 surgical wisdom tooth (sedation extra). US average: $200–$700.
Vita atraumatic forceps and elevators. Vicryl resorbable sutures. Bone graft material (Bio-Oss, Geistlich) available if extraction site will receive implant later.
Local anesthesia eliminates pain during the extraction. Soreness for 2–4 days afterward is normal, controlled with ibuprofen.
Soft food 2–3 days, return to normal eating in a week, complete bone healing in 6–8 weeks. You can drive back to Yuma the same day.
If you plan to place an implant in that spot within 6 months, yes — it preserves bone height. Adds $200–$400.
Yes if all four are problematic. We do it under sedation, ~75 minutes total. Recovery: 3–5 days of soft food.
Free with every extraction: gauze, ice pack, written instructions, antibiotic if indicated, ibuprofen suggestion.
