Implants
All-on-6 Implants
Six implants for maximum stability — best for heavy bite forces.
All-on-6 is the same protocol as All-on-4 but with two additional implants for extra support. The benefits: better load distribution, longer prosthesis lifespan, and fewer micro-movements that can wear down components over time. The trade-off: ~$1,500 more per arch and slightly longer surgery.
We recommend All-on-6 over All-on-4 in three scenarios: (1) you grind your teeth (bruxism); (2) your bite force is unusually strong; (3) the prosthesis is full-zirconia, which benefits from the wider support.
Trip protocol identical to All-on-4: surgical placement + immediate temporary, then permanent prosthesis 4–6 months later. Per-arch pricing: $9,495 hybrid · $11,495 zirconia · $13,995 premium full-zirconia.
Materials
Same options as All-on-4: Straumann or Nobel Biocare implants, monolithic zirconia or acrylic-titanium hybrid prosthesis. The two additional implants are standard 4.0–4.5mm diameter, placed in the molar region.
Frequently asked questions
Should I choose All-on-4 or All-on-6?
For most patients All-on-4 is sufficient. Choose All-on-6 if you grind/clench, have a strong bite, or want zirconia (the heavier material benefits from extra support).
Is recovery longer with six implants?
Surgery takes ~30 minutes longer. Recovery is the same — local soreness 2–3 days, soft food 2 weeks. Most patients drive back to Yuma the same evening.
Same warranty as All-on-4?
Yes. Lifetime on implants, 5 years on prosthesis material.
Can I upgrade from All-on-4 to All-on-6 later?
Yes, two additional implants can be added in the future if needed, but most patients who pick All-on-4 don't need to.
How long does All-on-6 last?
Hybrid: 8–13 years. Full zirconia: 15–20 years. The extra implants reduce wear on the prosthesis.
